LO2- Treatment

What is the brief?

The brief we have been set is based around the theme "identity". We need to produce five images for the Millennium Gallery Sheffield. The photos must be edited and produced from the shoots we do in our course.

Who is the audience?

As the photos our being edited and produced for the Millennium Gallery it will be aimed towards locals (Sheffield) who regularly visit the gallery. However tourist who vista or university people may be intrigued by the identity photography.

Key dates for Milestones deadline?

The overall deadline for the brief is the 21st of may. However I need to make sure my paper work and photo shoots are done by the 30th of April, so that I have enough time to edit and distribute my final photos. I am hoping that I have finished forms by March the 25th, so I can plan my shoots efficiently. I want to have everything completed before the 15th of may, so I can go back and improve my work before the deadline.

Equipment

I will be using a 700D Canon Camera. I will not be using a tripod as I am wanting to use a variety of different shot types and angles.  Lighting wont be necessary as I will be using natural lighting.

Props and models

I will be using two models for my fashion Identity shoot. I won't necessary need
any props; however I will need at least 4 changes of clothes to show different styles in Sheffield. I am wanting my two models to have a completely different look, so make up will be important. I may do make up on both models, one very dark and defined and the other one very subtle and natural. I will make sure the models have a variety of different styles which I can supply.
Models
Francesca Roberts: Fran will be doing the shoot where people would stereotypically locate the look. She will be wearing more dominant make up and messy hair to portray the grittiness of Sheffield. Fran will be modelling the fashion styles, casual, urban punk, festival/exotic/bohemian and peppy.
Maddie Fearn: Maddie will just be modelling the different fashion styles in the same location. Her make up will be wearing subtle make up so, that no attention is taken away from the fashion style. Maddie will be modelling the fashion styles, Grunge, rocker, sophisticated, romantic and surf-y.

Health and Safety considerations

As I have stated main hazards in my risk assessment. Main concerns will be the abounded building on Matilda street as there is shattered glass and sharp objects around, so my model must wear protective foot wear when around that location. Another risk could be equipment in the way which may be tripped over, this will cause damage to both person and equipment.

Legal and Ethical considerations

I will need to ensure my models sign the model realise form, so that I have the permission to photograph, edit and distribute them images of them. Another legal concern is when I am taking images in different locations that I am not getting business logos in, if this does happen I may have to blur backgrounds so that it will no longer be an issue. Making sure that I only have other people in my images if it is at a pupil place, so that not ethical issues are created. I must take pictures of people and only use the photos for the purpose I have explained to them.
